If
there are no noticable findings during that basic
examination the state health insurance will not pay for
any additional examinations:
Mammography and
ultrasonic examinations of the breasts are not covered by the state health insurances.
However, being
a physician I recommend additional examinations on a regular basis
as a comprehensive cancer precaution
, since palpation
is a relatively inaccurate examination.
I
recommend ultrasound examinations of
the breasts (Mammosonography) and mammography as an individual health care (IGEL = Individuelle
Gesundheitsleistung) option,
because only then is an early diagnosis possible.
Breast cancer in its early stage is a
localized disease.
And
therefore:
Early diagnosis will increase your chances of
healing dramatically !
