TRIPLE Test

The TRIPLE test is an examination of the maternal blood. Starting from the 16th week of pregnancy three hormones in the blood of the mother are determined.

A special computer program then calculates the risks for the child to suffer from Down´s Syndrome (Trisomie 21, "Mongolism") or from Spina Bifida (a congenital defect characterized by the imperfect closure of the spinal column, exposing some of the nervous system).

The TRIPLE test helps to judge individual risks and decisions.
