ULTRASOUND - the window to your baby

There are only a few countries with such intense and continuous medical care for mothers-to-be as in Germany.

The current maternity guidelines cover three ultrasonic examinations for every woman during a pregnancy. The results are recorded in your Mutterpass :

  • During the first ultrasonic examination (9th - 12th week) we check whether your baby develops on time and whether her/his heart beats correctly.

  • In the second ultrasonic examination (19th - 22th week) your baby is measured precisely.

For this examination (aka: "Großer Ultraschall") we offer a date not within the regular consulting hours.

  • During the third ultrasonic examination (29th - 32th week) we check again whether the child is growing appropriately. We also check the position of child and placenta.

Besides the three ultrasonic examinations described above we will carry out additional sonographies if you like.

Feel free to tell us - and you will get an extra view of how your child lives.

Please note that - if there are no medical reasons - these additional
examinations must be paid by you.

Additional ultrasonic examinations

Additional ultrasonic examinations take into account  your needs for you and your child.

Based on my medical viewpoint I recommend additional ultrasonic examinations even if there are no known risks :

  • In the 16th week to recognize signs for diseases or deformations of the baby in early stages.
