"The Morning After Pill" - the emergency brake for the morning after

The "morning after Pill" is not a genuine contraceptive method and should only be used in exceptional cases.

It is meant for situations when unprotected sexual intercourse has taken place. In these cases the "morning after Pill" can prevent a pregnancy if taken within 48 hours after coitus.

Effect:

The synthetic Levonorgestrel (LNG) will prevent the fertilized ovum from embedding itself.
