The new influenza vaccine certified by the Paul Ehrlich-Institute arrived in our practice punctually at the beginning of the flu season.
According to the guidelines of the Inoculation Commission at the RKI, the influenza vaccination is recommended for the following persons:
Persons suffering from e.g. chronic lung disease, liver and kidney diseases, heart problems, diabetes and other metabolic diseases, immune deficiency, HIV infection, as well as inhabitants of nursing or retirement homes should also be treated.
Persons in high risk groups, e.g. medical personnel or persons in institutions with extensive public traffic are also recommended to be vaccinated.
The costs of the flu protective inoculation are fully covered by the legal health insurance for the individuals described above.
